百舌鳥の家 House in Mozu

日当りの良さと、開放的な雰囲気づくりを目指した建物です。

一年を通して、日中は照明器具を使わず、家の中に光が行き渡る設計としました。
南面には大きな開口を設け、北面の水廻りや階段室には天窓を利用。また奥行きの深くなる2階の子供部屋は、スキップフロアとすることで、冬は部屋の奥まで光が届く設計となっているいます。又、スキップフロアの隙間より、リビングと子供部屋の雰囲気が相互に伝わり、家族同士気配が感じられるプランにもなっています。
夏場は大きく出た庇が日射を遮り、南北の通風がある涼しい住まいとなっています。冬場は大きな開口から部屋の奥まで日差しが届き、晴れの日の日中は暖房器具なしで生活が可能です。予算の都合上、1階のリビングのデッキに面する開口部は片引き戸一枚となっているが、十分な通風を見込める大きさとしました。

心地よく暮らすというのは、温度や湿度等の快適な指数を満たすだけでなく、ソフトな面も踏まえて考えていくことが大切だと思います。
百舌鳥の家では、光で満たされた空間の中に、家族の成長と共に、スキップフロアによりできる隙間を利用して、家族同士のつながりを感じ、安心できる住まいを考えました。

通風や採光を踏まえた設計と、極力改装が必要ない住まいとすることを考えています。百舌鳥の家では、子供室は、はじめは間仕切らず、子供2人になってから部屋を簡単に間仕切し、将来夫婦2人になったときに再び大きな部屋として利用できるように考えています。１階には和室を寝室とすれば、老後に夫婦2人になれば、１階をメインとして暮らすことも可能です。

The lot is located in a quiet residential neighborhood, surrounded by houses designed by large housing manufacturers. The client requested that we block visibility from the street but incorporate enough natural light so artificial lighting would not be needed during the day. We proposed a design that takes advantage of the site’s southern exposure by rotating the footprint at a slight angle from the street in order to face the windows due south.

The walls and floor of the first-floor living-dining-kitchen area are finished with the same materials we used on the adjacent deck, which makes the entire indoor-outdoor area look like a single room. Residents can also look out from the living-dining-kitchen area past the deck to the view beyond. In addition, by raising the ceiling of this room higher than elsewhere in the house, we were able to incorporate clerestory windows that look onto a room on the second floor, opening a line of sight connecting the upper and lower levels.
